“Tindy” is a chatbot service at the IRIS Online Services website (www.iris.gov.hk) launched on 28 April 2025 to assist in answering general enquiries on online land search service. The service supports Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese and English.

“Tindy” operates on natural languages processing and machine learning technologies. “Tindy” analyses inputted text to understand your needs and find suitable information, but the response may not be always correct. We will strive to improve the accuracy of “Tindy” by learning the suitable answers to various questions through conversations with users.

“Tindy” will not require users to provide any personally identifiable information. To protect the privacy of personal data, you should not provide any personally identifiable information when chatting with “Tindy”.

The chatbot’s name “Tindy” (「田妮」) originates from the Land Registry’s Chinese name (「『田』土廳」 and 「土『地』註冊處」). We hope that members of the public can associate the name “Tindy” (「田妮」) with the land search assistant.
