New Security Label with Enhanced Security Feature for Certificate of Registration

     This circular gives notice of the adoption of a new security label with enhanced security feature for certificate of registration under regulation 14(2) of the Land Registration Regulations (Cap. 128A) (“LRR”) with effect from 2 July 2019 (Tuesday).

Enhanced Security Feature of the New Security Label

2. At present, under regulation 14(2) of the LRR, the Land Registrar issues a certificate of registration with her printed signature, which is printed on a security label with the Land Registry logo in colour. In addition to the existing security feature, the new security label is embedded with a transparent watermark of the Land Registry logo in the middle. Please see below a sample of the new security label (with the transparent watermark of the Land Registry logo coloured in grey for illustration purpose).
