The format of land register changed several times in the last century. The earliest land register took the form of bulky deed volume book. In a conversion exercise started in 1963, the deed volume books were converted to register cards for easy handling and retrieval. In particular, the new system greatly facilitated searches against particular flats of sub-divided buildings. Register cards were produced to the searchers for inspection. However, due to the increasing number of searches, since 1978 only photo copies of register cards were provided. With the advance in computer technology, the records in register cards were converted into computer data in the computerization exercise of land registers in the mid 1980's. Since then, computerized land register is provided to our customers.
