Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2026

The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is a renowned international sports event that encourages a healthy lifestyle and fosters the marathon spirit within the Hong Kong community.

The Marathon was held on 18 January 2026 with two LR colleagues participating in the Half Marathon and 10 km Race. The Registry Manager and the Staff Recreation Club Executive Committee members were present at the event to support our colleagues.

Controlling Officer’s Environmental Report 2025

In June 2026, we released our Controlling Officer’s Environmental Report 2025 on the LR website. It sets out our environmental policy, objectives and measures, as well as reports on our environmental performance in 2025 and environmental targets for 2026.

LR Volunteer Work

During the first half of 2026, the LR Volunteer Team actively participated in various volunteer activities to reach out to those in need in the community:

• Paid home visits to the elderly in the Sha Tin district under the “Lunar New Year Love & Warmth Action” on 31 January 2026, in collaboration with The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon;

• Organised a food collection volunteer activity during the Chinese New Year festive period to encourage colleagues to donate surplus food. The food collected was distributed to members of the community in need through Food Grace. The activity successfully fostered team spirit in the LR while making a meaningful contribution to the society;

• Assisted in sorting and organising secondhand books donated for the “Books for Love @ $10” charity sale on 7 March 2026 as well as supporting event logistics on 9 May 2026; and

• Organised a coastal cleanup from Repulse Bay through Seaview Promenade to Deep Water Bay on 25 April 2026 and at To Tau Wan, Wu Kai Sha on 6 June 2026 to protect marine ecosystems and raise public awareness of ocean conservation and environmental sustainability.
