The LR participated in the 35th Education & Careers Expo, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, from 22 to 25 January 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event offered an opportunity to enhance the public’s understanding of our work, promote the Land Registration Officer (LRO) grade and share the latest development in the implementation of title registration system on new land.

The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mrs Ingrid YEUNG and the Land Registrar, Mr Bruno LUK, visited LR’s booth during the Expo, expressing their support and encouragement for our participation.

Visitors responded enthusiastically, showing keen interest in our services and career opportunities through the exhibition panels, experience sharing by our LROs and the interactive game with souvenirs featuring LR’s mascot Bunny Lanny.

On 28 April 2026, a group of academics from the RCAIG and RILS of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and surveyors from the Lands Department visited the LR Archive.

During the visit, we briefed the participants on the transformation of land registration services over the years and showcased various manual land records with historical values, ending with a discussion on the potential application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in land search and registration matters. The event provided a useful forum for us to exchange views and insights on exploring AI adoption in our operation for continuous service improvement.
