Future Plan

We are preparing the transitional requirements, operation practices and procedures, and also working on the design and development of new IT systems to support title registration. Preparation of the rules that support the operation of the main Ordinance will continue after the finalization of the LTAB. The LTAB and its related rules are expected to be submitted in the next term of the Legislative Council.

Comprehensive practice notes and guidance on title registration for the legal profession will be developed and extensive professional training for solicitors will be conducted before the implementation of Land Title Registration System. As endorsed by the Title Registration Education Committee we are preparing to set up dedicated work groups to take forward the professional training programmes. These will be convened when the final consultations on the form of the amendment legislation have been completed.
