Service Enhancement to the Integrated Registration Information System (IRIS)

As an on-going effort to improve services to our customers, we introduce regular enhancements to IRIS. During the year, the following enhancements were implemented:

  • More land registers can now be retrieved with Chinese addresses;

  • Customers can place orders at search counters for individual colour plans;

  • To reduce customers’ waiting time, dedicated printers have been deployed for printing bulky transactions;

  • A new hyper-link has been added within the “View by Browser” function to facilitate the printing of plain copies of land registers;

  • “中文地址不詳”(Chinese address unknown) is displayed on sub-division land registers if the Chinese address is not available;

  • A more visible “broadcast message” indicator on the IRIS website has been introduced to better draw the attention of users to important messages broadcast on the website;

  • A free-of-charge e-Memorial Form has been introduced for the lodgement of deeds, which serves as an alternative to the conventional paper form;

  • “House No.” on relevant IRIS screens has been amended to “House/Building No.” to clarify the meaning of the data field; and

  • Order information can now be sorted by date or by login ID in the account statement.
