Controlling Officer’s Environmental Report 2013

In July 2014, we released our Controlling Officer's Environmental Report 2013 on the Land Registry’s website.  The report highlights our environmental policy, objectives and environment management system.  It also sets out our existing measures to minimise the impact of our operations on the environment, our environmental performance in 2013 and environmental targets for 2014.  You are welcome to give us comments or suggestions by email at ds@landreg.gov.hk.

Sunnyway Programme

The Sunnyway Programme is one of the vocational rehabilitation services organised by the Social Welfare Department.  The programme aims to enhance the employability of young persons with disabilities or early signs of mental illness.  As a caring organisation, the Land Registry participated in the Sunnyway Programme for the seventh year.  Through mentorship of our colleagues, the trainee could acquire job-related skills, build up confidence and develop good work habits for enhancing employability in the future.

Job Shadow Day 2014

The Land Registry partnered with the Junior Achievement Hong Kong to organise the Job Shadow Day for secondary school students for the eighth year.  This year, the Job Shadowing Programme was conducted on 8 May for 18 students from Buddhist Wong Fung Ling College and Hoi Ping Chamber of Commerce Secondary School.  The students were guided by our workplace mentors to work in different units of our office for enabling them to gain a better understanding of the real life working environment and to give thoughts to career aspiration.
