1.1 Computer Configurations for using
this toolkit
This
toolkit is best viewed at 800x600 resolution with Internet Explorer (version
5.5 or 6.0) and a Flash Player plug-in
installed.
To get the Flash Player plug-in, please download and install
from http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashplayer/

To launch
the WBT toolkit, please click HERE and follow
the steps below to begin.
1. To
start the training, please click "Menu" button.
2. A menu with
three functions namely, “Home”, “Public Subscriber”, “Exit” appear.
3. To view
the details, simply click "Public Subscriber" button.
4. The
sub-menu for Public Subscriber pops up, highlight the required topics and click
once to start the demonstration or highlight the sub-topic from selected topic
and click once to start.
Inside
each topic, you can use the control bar (Scroll bar, rewind, back, play, pause,
forward) at the bottom to view the demonstration at your own pace.
To go to
the main page, please click "Home" button.
To exit
the toolkit, simply click the "Exit" button and click “YES” to close
the program.
2.0 Introduction to IRIS Online Services
for Public Subscriber
2.1 General Services provided for Public
Subscriber
IRIS online services is a web-based search services provided
by The Land Registry that enables customers to conduct land searches online
using Internet based technology. The Service hours start everyday from 8:30am
to 12:30am (16 hours per day) including Sunday and Public Holidays, while ordering
of land register or copy of land document can be made up to 11:45pm only for
each day.
For Public Subscriber, the following services are provided:
a)
Land register in either plain or certified copies with
different search options like search by address, search by lot and search by
PRN.
b)
Different types of land documents, both Imaged and
Non-Imaged Document, in either plain or certified copies.
c)
Records of Unposted Memorial Information.
d)
Enquire details of orders made within a pre-defined period
of time (e.g. 14 days) with different enquiry option like by Transaction No, by
Order No. / Details or by Order Creation Date and Status.
e)
Allow Supervisor Login ID User to enquire details of orders
made by other Login ID Users from the same Account.
f)
Different delivery channels available for requested orders
such as View by browser, Fax, E-mail, Online download, Mailing and Collect from
Customer Center or Search Offices located at different districts.
g)
Support Subscriber login with Electronic Certificate
(E-Cert) issued by Hong Kong Post (Subscribers have to register with IRIS Help
Desk and provide sufficient information when Subscriber Account is open)
h)
Single payment for multiple orders. Payment is settled by
monthly auto-pay but certain amount of Deposit has to be paid in advance.

Online enquiry of Account Balance, Current Statement and
Previous Monthly Statement for Subscriber and in various delivery modes
including View by browser, Email and Online download.

2.2 Hardware, Software requirement and
PC configuration for using IRIS Online Services
To use the
online services, you are recommended to use a computer with CPU of Intel P-III
550MHz or above, at least 128MB RAM and Windows 2000 or XP operating system.
For
viewing and Inputting Chinese characters, traditional Chinese language should
be supported by the operating system. Chinese plug-in such as RichWin is not supported.
The site
is best viewed at 800x600 resolution with Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or 6.0
with service pack 2)
Image Viewer
(supporting JPEG and TIFF) is needed for viewing document images online.
If you
want to print a land register through a browser, please set the printer
orientation to landscape mode.

Public
Subscriber can view any Notices or updated Information posted through the View
Broadcast Message function of the IRIS Online Services. An eye-catching “New”
icon,

will be shown whenever there is new Broadcast Message posted onto the system.
The most updated message will always be shown on top to provide User with the
latest information.
2.5 Support on using IRIS Online
