Organization Structure and Managements Changes

Management changes

The change from the former district-based operations to the present centralised system was managed through a variety of measures:

  • Careful Planning - we planned our course carefully, ensuring that we achieve our objectives in an organized and controlled manner;

  • Early Warning and Consultation - we consulted our management and staff at an early stage to raise awareness and secure buy-in;

  • Gradual Downsizing - we deleted some of our surplus posts in advance to minimize the disruption at the time of the change;

  • Pragmatic Approach - we dealt with any HR issues arising in the process promptly and pragmatically;

  • Systematic and Orderly Transition - we rescheduled our office accommodation and refurbished our offices by phase. We planned the logistics of our office relocation carefully - from accommodation and desks to telephones and transport companies - and monitor the move during the first three days of the Chinese New Year to ensure orderly transition according to plan. We assigned new postings and work locations to the great majority of our staff in a fair and systematic manner.
